Tasty Tuesday Brings Veggie Dog Treats

Woof! It is Tuesday and that means time for a new recipe to share with your parents, one that is healthy and Grr8 for us!  Ok, maybe Grr8 for your parents too!  Woof!

This week’s recipe is low in fat and phosphorus (woofee I had to Goo-gle that one!).  Get this, if you have kidney disease, then your diet needs to be low in phosphorous (that is a big word!). Veggies like squashes, zucchini, and sweet potatoes are low in (omd that word again!) phosphorus.

Or, if you have liver disease or chronic pancreatitis (Buffy used to get that a lot, Mom knew what to do!), your diet needs to be low in fat (yep, that is what Mom did for Buffy).

Furiends, this recipe is Grr8 for you even you have any of these conditions.  If not, this is still Grr8 for you!

Veggie Treats for dogs
Yummy and healthy!
  • 2 1/2 cups rice flour or brown rice flour

  • I know it’s not, but it looks like bits of Reeses Pieces in those treats! Yum!
